Searching online at www.the-saleroom.com, printed (pdf or word) issues available here. We can also supply a physical copy of our catalogue for those who prefer so.
Viewing an item in person
Visiting the saleroom and viewing days. For online auctions contact us for a private appointment.
Register to bid
Before you can bid on an item you need to register your details with 1888 Auctioneers. Alternatively if you don't mind paying a slightly higher commission (currently 5%), you can do so via www.the-saleroom.com
How to place a bid
Once you complete registration, you are ready to bid. During the auction itself you can do this in a number of ways.
BUYER'S PREMIUM AND OTHER CHARGES
1888 Auctioneers charges a Buyer's Premium (18%) on each Lot that you purchase and there may be other charges relating to each Lot. Full details will be indicated in the terms and conditions of each auction.
Post Auction process
We try to administer a quick and efficient service after each auction, including in-house payment and shipping services.
Unlike most auction houses this allows us to offer various shipping methods, ranging from basic Royal Mail 1st/2nd Class service, through to full insured Special Delivery.
